The old sales approach of selling complex license deals is rapidly approaching a use-by date, as many many more organisations look to agile solutions, which are better aligned for operating cash-flow, more flexible and allow users to optimize the solution for their individual needs and reduce wastage and redundancies. The big question which must be asked is: How do you transform the mindsets of thousands of professionals who are so used to a system which works, or at least worked until recently?
Carol Dweck’s masterpiece, “Growth Mindset” has lit a fire in the minds of many. Dweck gives numerous examples and contexts of the fixed mindset, and how it limits growth, entraps people in negative thinking and frustrates change and innovation. Instead she espouses the benefits of a ‘Player’ versus ‘Victim’ mindset, which aligns with the philosophy of having choices in how we interpret situations, fairness and realities.Source: Unsplash
I refer to it as the muscle of choice. Like all muscles, they only grow stronger and bigger if we use them, so here’s something I’d like to ask you:
