Introducing SAP Business ByDesign

Cloud computing has sprung up a lot of exciting and innovative products that are transforming the way businesses run. One example of a successful cloud-based product is Business ByDesign, made by software giants SAP. Here’s a closer look at what exactly it does and how it’s helping businesses achieve their goals.

SAP Business ByDesign

What is Business ByDesign?

Business ByDesign is a cloud-based ERP (enterprise resource planning) product from SAAP aimed at small and medium-sized businesses.  It gives access to the SaaS suite, covering customer relationship management, financial management, project management, supply chain management, supplier relationship management, human resources management, executive management support and compliance management. Business ByDesign has been around since 2007 and is currently used in around 90 countries worldwide.

What makes it different?

Business ByDesign gives small and medium enterprises the resources they need for growth, without facing the hefty price tag that large-scale businesses face. It brings a whole host of functions together in an easy to use interface, meaning companies don’t need a huge IT department to make it work. You can pick and choose which functions to use, and add more as you go along, making it easy for businesses to adapt and change as they grow. It also offers analytics and e-learning platforms.

How does the cloud come in?

The cloud is one of Business ByDesign’s biggest advantages. All the tools are kept on SAP’s server, which means companies don’t have to worry about security and maintenance. It also means that updates and changes can be easily implemented without the need for costly IT support. The cloud aspect also lets businesses access new functions as and when they need them — they don’t have to wait to roll out software. In short, it helps businesses adapt and respond as they need it, making them more agile and competitive.
